Meet Elizabeth Kelley

Education:

Elizabeth Kelley is a leader in representing people with intellectual disabilities (such as mental retardation and autism spectrum disorders) and mental illness (such as bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.)
Elizabeth is proud to be a criminal defense lawyer and is frequently asked to provide legal commentary on radio stations throughout the country as well as on national television for CNN, HLN, Fox, MSNBC and TruTV.
As the host of her own weekly radio show, "Celebrity Court," she provides key insights on the the top five celebrity legal stories of the week. Elizabeth interviews guests from throughout the country including Gloria Allred, civil rights attorney; Jane Valez-Mitchell, host of HLN's "Issues;" Jim Moret, correspondent for "Inside Edition;" Judge Alex, host of the syndicated television show "Judge Alex;" and New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer.
Elizabeth is in her second term as a board member for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has served on numerous committees, is a Life Member, and chairs both the Mental Health Committee and the Corrections Committee. She traveled as part of an NACDL - United Nations delegation to Liberia to train Liberian attorneys about courtroom strategies and techniques.
Additionally, Elizabeth is a Life Member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a member of numerous bar associations. She has been recognized as one of Ohio's Super Lawyers, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
She has lectured widely on criminal justice issues, in particular, representing people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness, as well as wrongful convictions. She regularly reviews books for The Federal Lawyer, and edits a column in The Champion, the monthly magazine of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
